Bain's Sneak Peek

Shawn & Diane Bain are two of the sweetest folks I've ever had the pleasure of getting to know.  They have been serving Skyview Church of Christ (where I worship) for the past five years.  This session was bittersweet for me, knowing that they will soon move on to another congregation in service to the Lord.  The only thing more apparent than the Bain's love for each other is their love for the Lord.

Here's a few of my favorites from our session!

Mini Session Sneak Peeks!

My friend Lindsay Kate Owens & I had our first ever day of mini-sessions at Lindsay's mother's (aka Ma) lovely home in Goodlettsville.  I appreciate so much her hospitality and help in making the day a HUGE success!

Here's a sampling of my pictures from the day!

We had so much fun at our mini-sessions, I am sure I will do another one (more than likely in early spring)!  So keep watching for the announcement so you can book your appointment!

"In the Orchard" I Heart Faces Weekly Challenge Entry

I have to admit that I jumped for joy when I read the theme for this week's challenge.  I have wanted to take my son & daughter to a nearby orchard for several weeks now and it just so happened that yesterday was THE perfect day to do it... weather wise, family timing wise, etc. etc.  It had been a while since we had a family outing and of course, I have to take my camera!  I'm so glad I did, cause this is one of the shots I got of my son...  I Heart his Face!  Here's my "In the Orchard" entry.  Enjoy!  P.S.  Visit the I Heart Faces weekly challenge here: http://www.iheartfaces.com/2010/10/week-42-in-the-orchard-photo-challenge/  You'll find lots of talent & AMAZING photos here!

The New Tamron SP 70-300mm Di VC USD — Best-in-Class Tele Zoom

Unparalleled optical performance in a fast and steady telephoto zoom

In the pursuit to achieve the most outstanding image resolution in the 70-300mm class, Tamron’s 60th Anniversary lens – the SP 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD (Model A005) – uses an advanced optical design that features LD (Low Dispersion) and XLD (Extra Low Dispersion) lens elements that prevent chromatic aberration. As a result, the SP 70-300mm Di VC USD boasts sharper contrast and greater descriptive performance than all others in its class. This is the first Tamron lens to sport USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive), Tamron’s very own ultrasonic auto-focus drive mechanism. This USD mechanism delivers fast focusing, making it a perfect telephoto zoom choice for photographing sports and other fast-moving subjects. The lens also boasts Tamron’s proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization to assist in hand-held photography, not only at long focal length ranges where blurring is common, but also under low-lit conditions, dramatically enhancing photographic freedom. This combination of best in class image resolution, Ultrasonic Silent Drive and Vibration Compensation is a new achievement of Tamron technology, culminating in the production of a premium 70-300mm telephoto zoom lens. Winner of EISA Best Zoom Lens 2010-2011. Available for full-frame and APS-C sensor cameras in Canon, Nikon and Sony mounts (the latter without VC). $50 rebate through 12/31/10. Canon Mount will be available soon.
