I Heart Faces "Touch of Sun" entry
I think this has to be one of my favorite captures ever. I love the innocence of Wyatt sitting on the bridge. I love the sun kiss over his shoulder. I love that he appears to be in deep thought.... I wonder what caught his eye. Don't you just want to go sit down beside him & strike up a conversation? I could stare at this picture all day.

I can't believe little Carter will be one year old soon! Time flies way too fast, especially when you watch babies grow!
I first met little Carter when he was just a few weeks old, last October. His entire family had a session at Rock Castle in Hendersonville as a Christmas gift for his grandparents. I graduated from High School with his Mommy's sister. That is one thing that I am so thankful for with this job... getting to see some sweet friends from my past & reconnect with them.
This was at our first meeting. Carter's there... you can just see the hint of him in the blanket.
Such a handsome fellow at 3 months old, already winning over the ladies with that sly little grin.
This was one of my favorites from Carter's six month session. It looks like he is conducting the sunset.
Some of my favorites from Carter's nine month session. I am such a sucker for baby feet!
I can't wait to see you soon little buddy! And your momma, too!

Miss Sarah Parker
I had the pleasure of taking sweet Sarah Parker's newborn pictures three months ago... it feels like just yesterday. I really need to do a better job of blogging my sessions more frequently. I chose Sarah Parker's newborn session as a good place to start, since we'll be taking her 3 month portraits here soon. Laura & Donnie, I can't wait to see your sweet family again! Here are some of my favorites from the day:
I can't wait to see how she has grown in the last three months! Hopefully, I'll get her 3 month session blogged before she turns six months old! ;-)

Wyatt's First Day of Kindergarten
Wyatt has been looking forward to his first day of school all summer long. On his first day of Kindergarten, I expected him to be up and at 'em at the crack of dawn. Any other day he would be up at 6:00. This morning, Chris & I had to go in and wake him up. Go figure.
Yes, I am THAT mom that sticks the camera & flash in my kids face first thing in the morning. 'cause I want to remember every last moment.
He was not in a good mood as he woke up. I don't think I'd be if I had a camera in my face either.
Thankfully, he was so excited about school that he couldn't help but give me a real smile as we prepared to leave for school.
Gosh, I can't believe my baby boy is big enough to go to school.
Okay momma. In just a minute, you are going to have to turn around and walk out of this door without bawling like a baby.
Here's Wyatt with his teacher, Mrs. Courtney. She is a wonderful teacher, a perfect fit for Wyatt's personality & learning style. Still, it was about at this point I couldn't hold it together any more. I kissed him bye & left the room. I wasn't prepared for the tears that would flow so freely.
It really helped that he came home with this face, so excited about his day at school.
I love hearing about his adventures at school each day. Mrs. Courtney is making learning fun for the kids and Wyatt is soaking up so much... I am one proud Momma...even if I miss my boy while he's at school.

Tea Party & Back to School Mini-Sessions were a blast!
I had a great time a few Saturdays ago with some very sweet friends. I love my "job" so much! I get to meet amazing people & do something I love that still allows me to be a stay-at-home mom to my kiddos!
Thank you ladies so much for taking part... I hope that y'all are loving your portraits!
